Why was this blog created?
I’ve been a listener of The Daniel Ruth radio show on 970 WFLA since about 2002. I was living in St Pete, FL when I heard him on the radio one day ranting about the war in Iraq and as he says “The Worst President” ever (or words to that effect). I was immediately hooked. His views on most topics are closely related to my own and he’s a fresh voice in a radio sea of very conservative radio. I remained a loyal listener even though I moved from Florida almost two years ago. I’ve always enjoyed listening to Daniel’s Saturday show and his discussion of all the week’s hot topics and of course his thoughts of our 42nd President. I also enjoy reading his Tampa Tribune column every week.
I love listening to him every Saturday #1 because he’s one of the few liberal leaning talk show hosts in the Tampa Bay radio market. Mr. Ruth and I don’t agree on everything but we do on enough items that it feels like I’m listening to a good friend every Saturday morning.
Anyway, I like the show and the newspaper column. This blog was created as a way for Daniel Ruth Show listeners and readers of his Tampa Tribune column to comment and sometimes debate various topics from his show or column.
