Wow Daniel, Chicago the best sports town. What makes a good sports town? I would have to say the most important factor is:
- How much does the average person know about what’s going on with the teams in their area.
Chicago is a good choice but I have to go with Boston #1 and New York a close second. They are both extremely passionate, fanatical, & crazy about their teams. Most seem to know what’s going on with their teams (even though they may not be big sports fans), and most seem to have a very good understanding and opinion of how various things impact their team such as injuries, trades, contract holdouts, etc.
I would rate Chicago lower because I remember seeing the White Sox with half empty baseball parks when the team was doing bad but you would never see that in Boston or N.Y. Does a best sports town abandon their team when they’re having a lousy season?
