Daniel mentioned the Sam Fox and John Kerry confrontation on his show on Saturday. I had not heard of it before today but it’s excellent. Sam Fox, a businessman and Bush supporter, was a $50,000 contributor to the untruthful Swift Boat Veterans for Truth political group. They used their contributions to falsely attack Senator Kerry during the last presidential campaign. By the way, in December the group had to pay a large cash settlement to the Federal Election Commission for violating federal election laws.
Well, President Bush chose this guy to be the US Ambassador to Belgium (interesting what happens after a $50,000 political campaign contribution). Well guess who Sam Fox had to go before at the Senate Foreign Relations Committee? You guessed it, John Kerry.
There are more details of this confrontation over at The Raw Story and they have a bunch more links related to the history of the Swift Boat group, Fox, and George Bush. You can read the article here.
Thanks for making us aware of it Daniel.
